Executive Director/ Global Health Programming

Elaine Hurtado recently received her Masters in Public Health in Nutrition from Liberty University. It was during her practicum experience that Elaine had the opportunity to serve in eSwatini in the summer of 2019 with a non-profit working with orphans living in child-headed and granny-headed homes. Deeply burdened by the severe water crisis in the rural areas and the overwhelming needs of the vulnerable children, Elaine surrendered her life to God in whatever he would call her to on behalf of the people of eSwatini. Through a series of divinely orchestrated events Elaine partnered with Project Love One for a return trip with Julie Kendrick whereby God provided a vision for community transformation through sustainable programs focused on clean water, nutrition, health, and education while sharing the love and hope of Jesus Christ. Elaine is now acting as Executive Director and is developing programs in the area of global health and nutrition to improve the health and lives of the widows, orphans and vulnerable children. Prior to working with Project Love One, Elaine homeschooled her three children and taught Science classes for eleven years. She is eager to see how God will use Project Love One to minister to the physical and spiritual needs of His children in eSwatini.

Ashley Lee has been with Project Love One since 2012. She has had a heart for the orphan and the vulnerable people of the world since she was a little girl. God had placed on her heart the desire to adopt at a young age, and this is what opened her eyes to the orphan care crisis in our world. Since then she has pursued opportunities to help however she can. In 2012, with a handful of like-minded women, Ashley helped in starting Project Love One. She has enjoyed working with this organization to meet the needs of orphans and adoptive families in America, Nicaragua, Haiti, Colombia, and India. She is excited about this new focus on eSwatini, Africa, and cannot wait to see what the Lord will do through Project Love One to aid His people in this country. Ashley lives in Conroe, TX with her husband and two handsome boys. She is an elementary school librarian and avid reader. The Lee's are in the process of adopting a daughter from Haiti, and look forward to having her home with them one day soon!
