Executive Director/ Global Health Programming
Elaine Hurtado recently received her Masters in Public Health in Nutrition from Liberty University. It was during her practicum experience that Elaine had the opportunity to serve in eSwatini in the summer of 2019 with a non-profit working with orphans living in child-headed and granny-headed homes. Deeply burdened by the severe water crisis in the rural areas and the overwhelming needs of the vulnerable children, Elaine surrendered her life to God in whatever he would call her to on behalf of the people of eSwatini. Through a series of divinely orchestrated events Elaine partnered with Project Love One for a return trip with Julie Kendrick whereby God provided a vision for community transformation through sustainable programs focused on clean water, nutrition, health, and education while sharing the love and hope of Jesus Christ. Elaine is now acting as Executive Director and is developing programs in the area of global health and nutrition to improve the health and lives of the widows, orphans and vulnerable children. Prior to working with Project Love One, Elaine homeschooled her three children and taught Science classes for eleven years. She is eager to see how God will use Project Love One to minister to the physical and spiritual needs of His children in eSwatini.

Ashley Lee has been with Project Love One since 2012. She has had a heart for the orphan and the vulnerable people of the world since she was a little girl. God had placed on her heart the desire to adopt at a young age, and this is what opened her eyes to the orphan care crisis in our world. Since then she has pursued opportunities to help however she can. In 2012, with a handful of like-minded women, Ashley helped in starting Project Love One. She has enjoyed working with this organization to meet the needs of orphans and adoptive families in America, Nicaragua, Haiti, Colombia, and India. She is excited about this new focus on eSwatini, Africa, and cannot wait to see what the Lord will do through Project Love One to aid His people in this country. Ashley lives in Conroe, TX with her husband and two handsome boys. She is an elementary school librarian and avid reader. The Lee's are in the process of adopting a daughter from Haiti, and look forward to having her home with them one day soon!

After graduating from Texas Tech with a B.S. in education, Julie Kendrick got serious about following God. He was so kind and sent her Craig to help with that! Together they studied God’s word, taught school, adopted 3 beautiful daughters, and worked in youth ministry and overseas missions with the International Mission Board.

After serving 6 years in France and having 2 more children, they moved back to the US in 2008. Julie and Elaine met at a local church in Spring, TX and became fast friends, homeschooling their kids together! Julie started a Juice Plus business and began to learn about nutrition. Craig began serving at World Hope Ministries International, sharing the gospel in French-speaking west African countries. In July of 2019, Elaine went to complete an internship in eSwatini to help orphans of child-headed homes. She returned home with a very heavy heart and a call to help improve the lives of vulnerable children and women in the name of Jesus. After seeing her passion and traveling there together in December, Julie quickly joined in to be a part of what God was clearly directing. She is thrilled to help support this work and watch God care for those made in his image.

Ashley Lamptey has a B.S. degree in Elementary Education and served in the public school system as an educator for 7 years before God called her to homeschool. Ashley and her husband, Ish, live in Houston, Texas with their four very busy, beautiful children.
As a teenager, Ashley lived in a foster home. She left that home several years later with some deep wounds and soul confusion. After spending time searching for answers and running from God, she hit an extremely discouraging and dark point in her life. She turned to her Creator with a simple, “Help!” and He has been gracious with that plea. God then used Ashley’s former years to teach her about seeing and serving others’ spiritual and physical needs.
Ashley Lamptey joined Project Love One in 2021, after God made a way for her to visit eSwatini to teach a group of beautiful women there how to sew. Ashley quickly fell in love with the people and the culture. She looks forward to returning and seeing where else God will use her. God truly inspired her to seek Him and His goodness at all times.
